Classic vehicles at Peter Francis

South Wales has always been an area where many classic vehicle collectors hideaway with their treasures! Over the years many interesting and sometimes truly amazing cars and bikes have come to light and been offered in our sales. In the 1970's an attic in Carmarthen even revealed a 'Flying Flea' aircraft which Peter Francis sold.

More recently the firm became well known for Annual (some twice annually) specialist off-site sales at local showgrounds which became known as the 'Welsh Motoring Sale'. These events were very successful for more than 15 years and highlights included an ex-LeMans Atlanta racing car from a Tenby gentleman's garage that made £67,650, with no engine! Many motorcycles have also been sold including; a Vincent Rapide, Norton International (engine found in the attic!), Triumph model H and so many more (too many to list).

Most recently a MK1 Cortina GT rally car, needing restoration made over £10,000 and a lovely old Alvis TA21 saloon car made also over £10,000. A pampered Triumph TR4 made £25,750 after great interest a couple of years ago. The advent of live internet bidding has meant that it is just as successful to sell vehicles in our regular sales, so sellers do not have to wait anymore for the annual sales to come around.

Our principal valuer, himself a collector of motorcycles, is always happy to discuss the potential of any vehicle you have without any obligation. Special commission terms are usually available for vehicles and transport is arranged with local contractors.
