18th century English eight-day longcase clock, the face marked Thomas Bodle, Ryegate, having chinoiserie lacquered case with arched hood over aperture flanked by turned pilasters moulded archway store on a panelled base. Brass face with Roman chapter ring, seconds dial and date aperture, eight-day, two train movement strikes on one bell. Overall 2.2m high approx. Complete with two weights, pendulum and key (B.P. 21% + VAT)

Case is well worn, generally scuffed and marked. Plinth may not be original. Face worn, lacking original silvering, one finger is broken, movement complete. Includes two weights and pendulum.
