Early 19th century blue and white transfer printed Spode Indian Sporting Series two-handled lidded tureen on oval stand, the lid and stand marked 'Hunting a Buffalo', the turine with a different scene 'The Hog at Bay'. The stand 40 x 32cm approximately, the turine 41 x 34cm approximately.

Consigned from a large home counties of England estate collection. All items are crazed, the lid appears good overall with tiny frit/chips to the underside in places. Turine is heavily worn to the underside with scratches and noticeable repair to the underside which has been filled. Small chip and loss to top of stand also. Turine is heavily crazed and stained with three noticeable chips to the underside.
