Fees

19th century Armorial bearing with motto 'Virtutis Avorum Praemium' (Virtue Itself Offends to Waste Not Time). Oils on board. 40x29cm approx. Period frame with handwritten text verso. Research suggests this relates to the Twizell family of Ayrshire,
(Airshire sic),dating back to the 17th century or earlier, although this Coat of Arms is likely painted in the 19th century. The family is not to be found in the usual expected records, possibly deleted during or post the English Civil War, depending which side they were on! (B.P. 21% + VAT)
