19th century mahogany leather top writing desk, having two pull-out drawers with compartments and writing areas, above fluted tapering legs, cups and casters. Possibly by Gillows. (B.P. 21% + VAT)
Leather has been replaces to the top. One inkwell has been repaired. Stain, marks and loose piece inside drawer. Knobs damaged to the side. Scratches and wear commensurate with use and water mark. Teeth missing and crack to the surface under top (see image). Solid and useable.
