Selling at Auction



Before items go into the sale all items must be valued. This can be done by coming to one of our FREE Valuation days (Every Friday 10am-4pm). Otherwise you can contact us at 01267233456 for an appointment during the week.

For larger consignments a valuer can come out to your property and value your items. Ring us on 01267233456 for more information.

For small numbers of items you can also send images by email for a preliminary valuation to


Once the item has been valued you will be given a receipt with a unique vendor number on it please keep this as it will be needed for future correspondence.

Lots go into auction on a first come, first serve basis and will be entered into the first auction that has availability and your items may be split over a few sales especially if it is a large consignment.

The week before your items are due to go into auction you will recieve a pre sale letter by post and email. Reserves can be added either when the items are first taken in or you can ring us once you recieve your pre-sale letter to add reserves.


Please note our new minimum lotting fee of £7.50 & Testing of electrical items is £5+ VAT

Regular Antiques, Interiors & Collectables Sales

Commission for lots -

Flat commission 20% + VAT INCLUDING INSURANCE




Minimum Commission  

£7.50 per lot including VAT, sold or unsold

No charge for photos or internet listing


Settlement is made by cheque 21 days after the sale.


Catalogued Antiques & Fine Art Sales

Commission for lots -

£1 - £3000 17½% + VAT including Insurance 

£3000+ 12½% + VAT including insurance 







Minimum Commission   £15 + vat sold or unsold
Photographs + Internet Charge   £10 + vat (per image)

Post -Sale

A post sale email is sent immediately after the auction has finished. If you don't have email then please ring us on 01267233456 to find out how your lost have done. Otherwise you will recieve a statement 3 weeks after the sale (with your cheque, unless your payment is by bank transfer). Settlement is made 21 days after the sale and can be made by cheque or bank transfer.
